Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Chismic collects through chismic.com, why, and what you can do about it. Chismic is run by Sumit Kumar (sole proprietor), trading as Chismic, Badlapur, Thane, Maharashtra, India ("we"). We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address, optionally your first name, the kit you're interested in, and the campaign link you arrived from (for example "instagram").
• Orders (when the store opens): your name, delivery address, phone number and order details. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
• Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and referring site, collected by the analytics tools listed below.

Why we use it

• To tell waitlist members about the First Edition launch and early access.
• To process, deliver and support orders, and to meet tax and legal obligations.
• To understand which pages work so we can improve the site.

We use your email only for what you signed up for. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, who process it on our behalf.

Service providers

• Vercel: website hosting, plus privacy-friendly traffic and performance analytics.
• Supabase: database for the waitlist, hosted in Mumbai, India.
• Google Analytics: audience and traffic analytics. It does not store IP addresses.
• Sentry: error reports, so we can fix problems on the site.
• When the store opens: our payment provider (Razorpay) and shipping partner (Shiprocket and its courier partners) receive what they need to take payment and deliver your order.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working without them.

How long we keep it

Waitlist data is kept until you leave the list, or for 12 months after the First Edition launch, whichever comes first. Order records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by leaving the waitlist. Write to hello@chismic.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Grievances

For any concern about how your data is handled, contact our grievance officer, Sumit Kumar, at hello@chismic.com. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes.
